Fun Friday. Or more proof that I am a dork.
I love everything about this — from the album cover to the fact that there’s even an album much less the awesome cover to the messed up lyrics ad infitum.
I’d like to make it right

Please Be Patient With Me
There’s parts of your life you go through, you just don’t know where you are . . . Hopefully, you wake up and there’s somebody, you know, you can trust next to ya . . .
Update: When the video was up, it included the song and a little snippet of an interview with Jeff Tweedy. Those are his words above, but the sentiment resonates with me.
Here’s the song, if you care to listen:

But we’re not alone
So we all
Are growing old
Maybe we’re sealed in silence
And maybe we feel a guidance
Maybe your own devices
Will keep you afraid and cold
But I
Memorized
Your smile lines
From left to right
Came to life
And childlike
Reaction time
We’re allowed
To expire
With ourselves in mind
So we all
Are growing old

Safe.
In the end, it came down to this. If I trust and get hurt, what have I lost? If I trust and don’t get hurt, what have I gained?
It was a no-brainer.

And some things I listened to . . .
One of my favorite spots to gorge on fried seafood and visual delicacies in New Smyrna is the place formerly known as Sea Harvest, now Dolphin View. To Go or Outdoor Dining Only — rain or shine. The patio band seemed to have stolen their playlist straight from my ipod. THAT is what you call harmony with the universe, my friends.
